He was predeceased by: the mother of his children Josie Delgado; and his parents, Ambrosio Delgado and Aurora Delgado. He is survived by: his wife Margot Delgado; his children, George Delgado, Mario Delgado, Jr. (Sandy), Diana Carrizales (Joe), Dan Delgado (Carrie), Joe Henry Delgado (Melissa), Robert Almaraz (Dee), John Almaraz and Nicole Bailey (Bryan); and his brother Valde Delgado (Grace). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews.
