He was predeceased by: his parents, Valentine Reyes and Antonia Reyes (Rangel); his sons, Ruben Reyes, Jesus "Jesse" Reyes and Rudolpho "Rudy" Longoria; his siblings, Antonio Reyes, Juan Reyes and Refugia Alonzo; and his grandchildren, Jose Alberto Reyes, Matthew Reyes, Enrique Flores and Valerie Suzette Reyes.
He is survived by: his wife Francisca Reyes (Cruz); his children, Manuel Reyes Jr. (Esmeralda), Susana Hernandez (Ruben), Rosemary Reyes (Juan Sanchez), Valentin Reyes (Monica), Guadalupe R. Puente (Victor), Jose Luis Reyes (Sally), Antonia R. Lopez (Heriberto), Carlos Reyes (Angela) and Frances R. Vasquez (Johnny); and his siblings, Guadalupe Fuentes, Isabell Arismendez, Pedro Reyes, Alberta Ruiz, Maria Ebanez, Jose Reyes, Sofia Barnes and Billy Reyes.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary (205 General Cavazos Blvd, Kingsville, TX 78363). A prayer was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery (835 W Caesar Ave, Kingsville, TX 78363).
