He was predeceased by: his parents, Hernan Garcia and Yolanda Garcia; and his brothers, Homero E. Garcia, Mario A. Garcia and Manuel E. Garcia.
He is survived by: his children, Juan H. Garcia (Jennifer), Claudia Perkins, Clarisa Garcia and Casandra Garcia; his grandchildren, Juan H. Garcia III, Johanna Garcia, Kaylin Perkins and David M. Perkins II; and his brothers, Emilio Garcia (Anita), Victor Garcia (Espi) and Jorge Garcia (Irma). He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
