He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Mahlon Paulk and Gladys Celeste Clowers Paulk of Kingsville, TX; and his siblings, Jackie Mentzer, Jeannine Wade, Chuck Paulk and Monte Paulk.

He is survived by: his granddaughter Becky (Petunia); his wife Gloria Paulk; his children, John Paulk, Jr. (Tiffany) and Becky Wood (Brian); his granddaughter Aubrey Ann Wood; and his close friend Princess. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
