He was predeceased by: his siblings, Johnny Lerma and Ramona Tavalon. He is survived by: his parents, Ramon Lerma and Genoveva Lerma; his sons, Jesse Lerma Jr. (Louisa) of Kingsville, Cliff A. Knapp (Dionne) of Bishop and Jose H. Salinas (Michelle) of Laredo; his wife Yolanda S. Lerma; and his sisters, Estella L. Bobinger of California, Gloria Martinez of Houston and Mary Ann Borrego of Conroe. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces, and nephews.
