He is survived by: his children, Donna Mendietta (Joe) of Corpus Christi, Ashley Minjarez (Cruz) of Yantis, TX and Jonathan Mendietta (Lynzi) of Corpus Christi; his father Israel G. Mendietta of Kingsville; his sister Norma Escobedo (Carlos) of Kerrville; and his brother-in-law Ramiro Saldana Jr.. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
