She was predeceased by: her parents, Victoriano Tijerina and Maria Aminta Tijerina; her husband Armando Gonzales Sr.; and her siblings, Frances De Leon, Estella Lopez, Carlos Tijerina, Pablo Tijerina and Ramiro Tijerina.
She is survived by: her children, Armando Gonzales Jr. (Penny) of Marquette Heights, Illinois and Rebecca Adame (George) of Kingsville; and her sisters, Martha Alfaro and Olga Eckstein. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
