She was predeceased by: her husband Daniel G. Cavazos Jr.; her sons, Jesus Cavazos, Jose M. Cavazos and Daniel G. Cavazos III; her daughter-in-law Cynthia Cavazos; and her siblings, Jose "Coche" Mendietta, Teresa Escobedo, Lydia Gonzales and Leonor Mendietta.
She is survived by: her parents, Candido Mendietta and Virginia Mendietta; her children, Juan Manuel Cavazos (Janie) of La Porte, Noelia Gonzalez (David) and Noemi Ortiz (Fred) of Kingsville; her daughter-in-law Sylvia Cavazos of La Porte; and her sister Hilda M. Garza of Kingsville. She is also survived by grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
