He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Aaron Smith Sr. and Annie O. Willett Smith; his former wife Virgina Cecil Smith; his children, David Lee Smith and Cynthia Linn Wilkerson; and his siblings, Max C. Smith and Velmar Jean Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Vonda Nokes Smith of Kingsville, TX; his children, Aaron Jay Smith of Kingsville, TX and Gloria Jean Merikan (Jim) of Miles City, MT; his stepchildren, Donald Reagan Meyers (Laine) of Corpus Christi, TX and Tamera Meyers of Kingsville, TX; his son-in-law Mark Wilkerson of Bishop, TX; and his siblings, David Rodney Smith (Joan) of Las Cruces, NM, Hubert R. Smith (Angela) of Chocowinity, NC, Lorene Brown of Pearland, TX, Glenda A. Russell of Peoria, AZ and Debra K. Browning of Paulsden, AZ. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and a host of friends.
