He is survived by: his wife Dora E Cantu; his children, Brenda Chavez (Martin), Judy Cantu, Josefat Cantu, Conception Cantu and Elizabeth Cantu (Enrique Orta); his siblings, Ernesto Cantu (Sulema), Yolanda Luera (Adelmo) and Luciano Cantu (Estella); his sister-in-law Alma Cantu; and his grandchildren, Clarissa Chavez, Joey Joel Cantu, Issac Davilla and Alejandro Chavez.
