He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Chiles, and Fendol Chiles, Jr.; and his sister Sandra (Charles Yoder). He is survived by: his wife Patti; his daughters, Meredith and Andrea; and his sisters, Marsha O'Dell (Leroy), Cynthia Cohrs (Allen) and Linda Simnacher (Greg). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to be made to Plymouth Park Baptist Church (Missions Ministry) or the Alzheimer's Association under the 2022 Walk to End Alzheimer's team page "The Avengers" on behalf of Fendol Madison Chiles, III.

Your Dad and my Dad were 2nd cousins and I always enjoyed our visits to your house in Matagorda and the times we shared. To this day I still make butterhorns for the Christmas season.
