We are sad to announce that on January 2, 2024, at the age of 86, Edwina Lorene Alvarez (Kingsville, Texas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Ruby Lorene Ryder (Thomas); her daughter Linda Gayle Hill; her husband Arturo Alvarez, Jr.; and her father Charles Edgar Laird. She is survived by: her children, Harold Elias-Perciful, Marie, Arturo and Rosita; her half-brother Russell Laird; and her stepmother Beverly Laird. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
