He was predeceased by: his parents, Zora Aquila Grant and Dalva Douglas Grant; his brother Carmon Miles Grant; and his grandfather Don. He is survived by: his wife Betty Grant; his daughters, Kim Fancher (Powell) and Penny Merriman; his grandchildren, Shelby Johnson (Travis), Preston Merriman (Kylee) and Cameron Merriman; his great grandchildren, Olivia Lynn Johnson and Walker Scott Johnson; his sister-in-law Doris; and his great-nieces, Vanessa Benson (Keith) and Valorie Berta (Chuck).
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary (205 General Cavazos Blvd, Kingsville, TX 78363). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 12:00 PM at the Restland Cemetery.
