She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan A. Jr and Melba Gonzales Garza, Jr.; her son Mathew Herrera; her brother Hector Garza; and her brother-in-law Santiago De La Paz, Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Octavio Rios, Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas; and her siblings, Mary Jane Prado (Frank) of Ricardo, Texas, Norma De La Paz of Corpus Christi, Texas, Johnny Garza (Sylvia) of Pharr, Texas and Frank Garza (Lorena) of McAllen, Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
