He was predeceased by: his father Jesse Salazar; and his sister Elizabeth Scott. He is survived by: his wife Veronica Lopez Salazar of Austin; his sons, Daniel Joe Salazar of Kingsville, Salvador Jesus Salazar of Kingsville, Juan David Salazar of Kingsville and David Edward Salazar of San Antonio; and his siblings, Jessica Salazar, Leticia Salazar, Marissa Scott, Elaine Salazar, Samuel Salazar, Jesus Salazar Jr., Arnold Salazar and A. J. Salazar. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
