With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Christine Herrera (Kingsville, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 23, 2024 at the age of 54. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Miguel, Angelita Ortega, Jose and Emilia Lopez. She is survived by: her husband Michael A. Herrera; her children, Kassandra Zapata (Ricky) and Michael Angelo Herrera (Lillian Risinger); her parents, Vicente Ortega, Sr. and Janie Wilder; her brothers, Adrian Ortega, Vicente Ortega Jr. and Alejandro Ortega; and her grandchildren, Zavian, Kaisley and Cameron. She is also survived by relatives and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary (205 General Cavazos Blvd, Kingsville, TX 78363). A rosary was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (605 W 3rd St, Bishop, TX 78343). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the St. James Cemetery. A reception will be held on Monday, January 5th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary (205 General Cavazos Blvd, Kingsville, TX 78363).
