He was predeceased by: his sons, Billy Joe Martinez and Pete Anthony Chavez. He is survived by: his wife Andrea M. Chavez; his children, Anna Hall (Rudy) of Dallas, Mary Jane Obregon of Dallas, Angelica Olivo (Rigo) of Kingsville, Jessica Chavez (Josh) of Kingsville, Tommie Vela (Robert) of Dallas, Danny Chavez (Selena) of Kingsville and Carlos Chavez (Samantha) of Kingsville; his siblings, San Juanita Chavez, Martin Chavez and Raymond Chavez; and his uncle Filiciano Chavez. He is also survived by thirty-two grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
