He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Eliza Catchings; his parents, Andy Clarence and Aline Elizabeth Catchings (Smith); and his siblings, Sonny Catchings and Kathy Clifton.
He is survived by: his wife Paulette Catchings; his children, Lorie Knippa (Scott), Bubba Catchings (Melba) and Christy Soliz (Ruben); his grandchildren, Clete Knippa, Callie Knippa, Brandon Archer, Katrina Catchings, Austin Catchings, Elizabeth Soliz and Madison Soliz; his great grandchildren, Victor Work and Jayden Wright; and his sister Carolyn Cox. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary (205 General Cavazos Blvd, Kingsville, TX 78363). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
