He is survived by: his son Benjamin Lucio Cortez (Alicia) of Albuquerque; and his siblings, Rolando Cortez of Houston and Maria Elena Cortez of Kingsville. He is also survived by three grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
