He was predeceased by: his wife Graciela G. Mata; and his siblings, Pedro Mata Jr. and Juanita Mata. He is survived by: his children, Anita Mata of Kingsville, Agustin Mata Jr. of Kingsville, Luis D. Mata of Kingsville, Daniel Mata (Erin) of Leetsdale, PA and Michael Mata (Theresa) of Kingsville; his grandchildren, David Lee, Adriana, Cassandra, Agustin III, Julian, Eric and Brodie; and his siblings, Maria Mata, Oralia De Leon and Jesse Mata. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home (230 E Ella Ave, Kingsville, TX 78363). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
