He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ramiro Luera and Sofia Luera; his son Jose Angel Luera; his sister Gloria Mejia; his wife Yolanda C. Luera; his sons, Adelmo Luera Jr. and Daniel Luera (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Sofia, Joshua and Nicolas; and his siblings, Linda Cabrera, Janie Andeverde, Ramiro Luera Jr. and Oscar Luera (Mary). He was also cherished by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
