He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Leonard and Dorothy Murphy; his brothers, Leonard "Sonny" Murphy and James "Jimmy" Murphy; and his son Michael Murphy.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Murphy; his daughter-in-law Mary Lynn Murphy; his sons, Kevin (Denise), Sean and Patrick (Donna); his grandchildren, Shauna Matteson, Christina Ballard (Frankie), Ryan Murphy (Krystal), Lauren Ridley (Jake), Ryleigh, Remi, Ridley Murphy, Braden and Bryson Murphy; his great grandchildren, Tori, Jase Matteson, Pepper Ballard, Maddox, Gavin Murphy, Georgia and David Ridley; his siblings-in-law, Betty Ann Rivera, Kathy Murphy, J. B. Woody and Judy Woody; his friend Bud Goodwin; and his caregiver Brandy.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Harrell Funeral Home - Kingsland (145 Texas Ave, Kingsland, TX 78639). A rosary was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (1927 RM 1431, Kingsland, TX 78639).
To commemorate Bill's special love of children, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
