It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jewell Bethke in Kingsland, Texas, born in Florence, Texas, who passed away on July 8, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John William Glover and Bertha Mae Glover (Willis); and her son Jesse Bethke. She is survived by: her children, Joyce Wood (Craig) and Johnny Smith (Candi); her brothers, Frank Glover and Jack Glover; and her grandchildren, David Smith, Donnie Smith, Dana Freeman, Darby Wood and Drew Wood. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
