He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Melton and Alatia Melton; his wife Betty C. Crow; and his sister Eva Ray Gauntt (Jack Gauntt). He is survived by: his children, Deborah Williams (Michael) and Greg Melton (Vickie); his stepdaughter Teresa Celey; his grandchildren, Stephanie Huckabee, Geoffery Williams, Shane Melton (Belen), Joseph Melton (Sophie), Parris Pittman and Chance Henson; and his pet Snoopy. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
