He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd N. Howell and Ione Shelton Howell; his brothers, JT and Floyd Howell; and his grandson Brian Wofford.
He is survived by: his wife Marcyl; and his children, Debra Wootan (Richard), Sandra Crane (Terrence), Kristina Hoida (Clifford) and Glenn Boyd Howell (Sydney). He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
