He is survived by: his wife Beth; his daughters, Lucy (William North) and Julia (Tad Dorroh); his grandchildren, Isaiah, Isaac, Thomas North, Zane and Sadie Dorroh; his daughter Lacey Hood; and his brothers, Roger and Joe Matkin of Boerne. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, a husband, a father.

He began enjoying the wonders of Heaven on January 9, 2021 after battling complications from Covid-19.
