He is survived by: his wife Cecilia Macatangay Sheehan; his children, Timothy Macatangay (Dainae May) of San Antonio, TX, John Macatangay (Megan) of Dallas, TX, Julius Macatangay (Katie) of San Diego, CA and Senior Airman Robert M. Sheehan III; his grandchildren, Genesis, Keira, Hanz and Matheo; his mother-in-law Loretta Macatangay "Inay"; and his siblings, Michael Sheehan (Evelyn) of Quincy, MA, Jimmy Sheehan of Galway, Ireland, Elaine Patton (Steve) of Ketchikan, AK, Paul Sheehan (Kathleen) of Arlington, MA and Peter Sheehan (Joan) of Stoneham, MA.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
