He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry B. Okner M. D. and Annette Okner. He is survived by: his wife Christy Nelson Okner; his stepchildren, Darin, Steven and Holly; his brother Michael Okner (Linda); his nephew David Okner; his niece Melissa Okner; and his sister Elizabeth Betsy Okner. He is also survived by six step-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren.
