He is survived by: his wife Thelma Canty; and his children, Barbara (Jermaine), Felicia, Moesha, Delores, Regina (Greg), Darrell (Kim), Whontrell (Shante) and Thurman, Sr. (Shirley). He is also survived by five brothers and five sisters; 14 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
