He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugie Hunter and Mattie Belle Hunter; and his brothers, Herbert Hunter and Warren Hunter. He is survived by: his children, Natalie Castille (Keith), Diandra Hunter and James Hunter Jr. (Kristen); his grandchildren, Sierra, Jordan, Adrianna, Carter and Eli; and his siblings, Nora Wallace, Catherine Smith and Benjamin Hunter. He is also survived by brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chisolm's Family Funeral Home (3100 Old FM 440 Rd, Killeen, TX 76549). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery (11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542).
