He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Raymond Tilton Lewis; his wife Barbara Lewis of Kilgore; his children, Shawn Lewis of Midland, Robert Lewis (Melissa) of Kilgore, Chris Lewis (Michelle) of Longview and Hope Dunavant (Dixie); his grandchildren, Kori Bourg, Kolton Lewis, Shane Lewis, Chance Lewis, Alli Lewis, Haley Lewis, Hannah Lewis, Haden Lewis, Paxton Dunavant of Maks Dunavant, C. J, Whatley, Morgan Whatley and Nicholas Dunavant; and his parent Ophie Marie Allen Lewis. He was also cherished by seven great-grandchildren, along with other loving family members.
