He was predeceased by: his father Jim Smires. He is survived by: his mother Kay Smires of Kilgore; his siblings, Mike Smires of Kilgore and Sissy Smires (Jim) of Kilgore; and his daughters, Quincee Smires, Hallie Smires and Kate Smires. He is also survived by cousins, nephews, nieces, and many friends.
