He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon and Janie; and his brothers, Gary and Ronnie. He is survived by: his daughters, Courtney Fears (Shane) and Heather Allen (Levi); his grandchildren, Lauryn Kelly, Bailey Hedges, Aaron Fears, CJ Hedges, River Hedges and Piper Day; his siblings, Richard (Sharon), Lonnie, Kenneth and Lisa Hampton; and his friends, Kenny Mobbs, Steve Tanner, Phil Porter and John Jones. He is also survived by nieces and nephews plus great nieces, great nephews, cousins.
He had a love for cooking and spent countless hours serving others, whether gathering with loved ones or on a charity's behalf.
