He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin "Red" Walden and Elsie Hicks Walden; and his siblings, Maudie Gilstrap, Mary Ann Braly, Sallie Yamka, Charlie Walden (Bobbie), Edward Walden (Norma) and Melvin Henry Walden.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Jones Walden; his sons, Kenneth Steve Walden and Rodney Ken Walden (Penny Dykes); his grandsons, Logan Walden, Hunter Walden (Allyssa), Kendal Taylor Walden and Collin Milton Walden; his great grandchildren, Gunner Jax Walden and Harper Mae Walden; and his siblings, Ronald Joseph Walden (Robin) and Wanda Wheeler. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
