He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Clyde Horton and Eldie Lee Deal Horton; and his brother Richard Kyle Horton. He is survived by: his wife Sarah of Kilgore; his children, Leigh Ann Horton and Joe Horton; his aunt Fay Horton Leach of Kilgore; his uncle Deal (Margaret) of DeQuincy, LA.; his sister Amy Barrentine (Robert) of Grapevine, AR.; his sister-in-law Theresa (Ray Hanson); his nieces and nephews, Dillon Kyle Horton, Matthew Kyle Horton, Christian Lane Goff (Kenzie), Daniel Horton Barrentine, Tiffany Szymarek (Gregg), Logan Bolanos (Danny), Courtni Williams and Sophie Barrentine; and his brothers, Larry Kincaid, Joe Sanders and Bill Hopkins.
