He is survived by: his children, Caryn Couch (Travis) and Alan Garner (Cathy); his grandchildren, Jennifer Sparks (Cal), Nicole Nicholson (Eddy), Cayce Rutledge (John), Amy Emge (Ben) and Alexander Garner (Morgan); his great grandchildren, Callie, Colt and Cooper Sparks; his grandchildren, Elliott, Graham Rutledge, Avery Nicholson, Penelope, Eleanor and Opal Emge; his siblings, Eloise McFarland, Anne Hodge, Dorothy Wallace, Margaret Van Wormer, Joyce Wendt, Dan Garner, Jr., Jack Holt Garner, James Andrew Garner and William Robert Garner; and his friend Janet Mitchell.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Rader Funeral Home (401 N Martin St, Kilgore, TX 75662). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Danville Cemetery (200 Memorial St, Kilgore, TX 75662).
