He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Whatley and Bergie Whatley; his wife Norma Jean Whatley; his son Keith Whatley; his granddaughter Heather Whatley; and his brother Jerry Whatley (Nelva) of Bivins, Texas.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Whatley of Bivins, Texas; his children, Bruce Whatley (Lori) of Hallville, Texas and Rhonda Surratt (Andy) of Linden, Texas; his daughter-in-law Kelley Whatley of Kildare Junction, Texas; his siblings-in-law, Marlin Thomas (Jean) of Atlanta, Texas and Sue McAlexander (Jerry) of Atlanta, Texas; and his grandchildren, Timmy Whatley, Justin Tucker, Hiliary Neville, Mickey Whatley, Rusty Surratt, Kayla Mills and Cody Whatley. He is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
