He is survived by: his parents, Norma Wheatcraft and Jason Wheatcraft; his brother T. J.; his grandparents, Lynn Morris, Edward and Verdie Wellborn; his godparents, Linda and Dale Wimer; and his uncle John Wellborn. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

“My heart is heavy for you. No one should have to go through losing a child. I did not know Thomas really well, but he worked on my house remodel several times over the past 15 months. I met him through Owen Bailey. Thomas was always very sweet and very polite, pleasant to be around and a hard worker when he was here. I know Thomas volunteered one day to help an elderly lady across the street trim her trees - because she told me to thank him again, Thomas was a sweet young man. I’m so sorry.”
