He was predeceased by: his parents, Maggie Irene Bransom Carswell and Thomas England Carswell. He is survived by: his wife Judy Carswell of Kerrville; his children, KC and John Carswell; his daughters-in-law, Deborah Carswell and Becky Carswell; and his grandchildren, Maggie Carswell and Ryleigh Carswell.
He was always proud of his contributions to the space industry, and his fascination with rockets remained as he loved to spend time in Boca Chica watching the new rockets being built and he followed every launch online.
