It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Oscar Escamilla of Kerrville, Texas, born in Hondo, Texas, who passed away on January 29, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Lucinda Escamilla; his parents, Luis Escamilla and Maria Isabel Escamilla; and his siblings, Fidencio Luis, Juan, Efrain, Julio, Sofia Decker and Elia Juliet Morales.
He is survived by: his children, Margie Valles (John) of San Antonio, TX, Christine Escamilla of Kerrville, TX and Oscar Escamilla Jr. of Kerrville, TX; his sisters, Ayda Lydia Acosta (Jose), Belia Aguilar (Pete) and Cleotilde Abreo; and his grandchildren, Juan, Tim Vallez, Violet, Lucy, Blossom, Shelby, Selena, Summer and Oscar Escamilla. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
