She was predeceased by: her parents, R. L. Merz and Wilma Merz; her husband David Syfert; and her granddaughter Shay Syfert Ray. She is survived by: her children, Guy Syfert (Pam) and Dava Bass (Richard); her sister Brenda Bauer; her grandchildren, Dereck Syfert (Kylie), Ashley Crowder (Jeff) and Morgan Key (Cody); and her caregivers, Beth Canter, Paula Buxton, Debi Wilson and Edith Scher. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
