He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Stern and Emma Stern; his siblings-in-law, Clayton Fred Strobel Jr. and Donna Strobel Prall; his close friends, Bob and Mary Woodward; his grandfather Dr. James Carr Stokes; and also, Clayton and Eleanor Strobel.
He is survived by: his son Glenn (Julie) of Canton, Texas; his wife Diane Strobel; his daughter Allison Stokes (Jim) of Boerne; his grandchildren, Clayton, Caroline Stern, Georgia, James and Allen Stokes; his siblings-in-law, Virginia Arrellanes (Patrick Lopez) of Albuquerque and George Prall (Michelle) of Georgetown; his nieces, Kimberly Murray of New Jersey and Kristen Strobel of New Jersey; and his grandmother Becky Stokes.
