He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Wasson and Alta Wasson (Fields); his sister Marilyn (Clayton); and his granddaughter Chasidie Ann Wasson. He is survived by: his wife Jann Wasson; his children, Hal Wasson (Sallie), Sonda Baker (Henry) and Tim Wasson; his grandchildren, Blake Baker (Brandy), Hailey Brooks (C. T.), Chase Wasson (Shay), Chelsie Rich, Hunter Wasson, Hogan Wasson, Tripp (Emery Baker), Tristin (Brison Brooks), Weston Rich and Cal (Cash Wasson); his brother Jerry Wasson (Donna); and his sister-in-law Annette Kidd.
