He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Powell and Dorothy Powell (Carlisle); his brother Alan Naven; and his uncle Alvin Powell. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis of Arlington; his children, Samuel Cordero (Amy) of Austin, Jacob Powell of Arlington, Ysidra Pike (Brad) of Terrell, Cortney Kinney (Erin) of Mansfield and Sara Burnett (Brad) of Arlington; his grandchildren, Kayla, Robert, Katie, Hunter, Christian, Jeanine and Xylon; his great grandchild Paisley; and his sister Brenda Powell Heckman (Lawrence) of Cedar Creek.
