It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Ellen Gratzinger-Bishop (Kennedale, Texas), born in Marshall, Illinois, who passed away on January 1, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Starkey and Delight Starkey (Emberton); her husband Walter Bishop; her sister Opal Davis; and her son James Gratzinger.

She is survived by: her daughters, Doris Elam and Shirley Gratzinger of North Texas; her brothers, Fred and Ted Starkey of Arkansas; and her grandchildren, Jamie Maddox, Hilary Bowden, Dianna Kavanaugh, Melissa Elsberry, Trina Butler, Edward Brown, Toni Elam, Jeffery Oliver and Linzi Oliver. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.
