It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shelby Eugene Braswell of Kennard, Texas, born in Hall Summit, Louisiana, who passed away on January 30, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Braswell and Alice Lee Murphy Braswell; his sisters, Shirley and Jeanette; his parents-in-law, Arthur and Lucy Starling; and his brothers-in-law, William Thomas Starling, J. W. Starling (Opal), Raymond Starling (Joyce), Vernon Starling (Evelyn) and Herman Starling (Nelda).

He is survived by: his wife Lois Braswell; his son Ronald Braswell (Kelly); his grandsons, Brandon, Connor and Sean; and his sister-in-law Flo Starling. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
