It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Juanell Smitherman of Kennard, Texas, born in Scurry, Texas, who passed away on January 25, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Loyd Asbury Heard and Margarette Lueona "Ona" Heard (Simpson); and her brothers, John Heard and Jimmy Heard. She is survived by: her husband Joe Smitherman; her children, Joonna Trapp (Lynn) and Jim Smitherman (Tammy); her grandchildren, Jimmy Trapp (Clarissa), Micah Horgan-Trapp (Jase) and Josh Smitherman (Chelsea); her great grandchildren, Ryker, Easley, Joseph Smitherman and Jessica Parimore (Austin); and her great great grandchildren, Blakley, Tripp and Truett.
