He was predeceased by: his parents, Dexter Tipps Grammer and Evie Jane Wallace Grammer; his children, Donald Grammer and Pamela Grammer; his former wife Barbara Patronella-Grammer of Harris County, Texas.; and his siblings, Clara Grammer-Blalock, Valdese Grammer Scott-Rutherford, Arvilla Grammer-Hoyack, Dexter T. Grammer Jr., Jay Grammer and Doris Grammer Brooks.
He is survived by: his daughter Cynthia Grammer; his wife Shirley Grammer; his stepdaughter Michelle Rowe (Keith); his grandchildren, Nicholas Uhlig of Michael Mylonas, J. T, Grammer II, Mason Cover (Jennifer) and Lorinda Vaclavik; his great grandchildren, Sam Blunder, Maggie Fine and Averie Rose Cover; and his close friends, Edward and Gail Uhlig.
