He was predeceased by: his parents, Syble Smith (Fitts) and Earl Smith; and his siblings, E. C. Smith, Nelson Smith, Joe Smith, Carlean Connor and Kay Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Smith of Kennard; his children, Jeff Smith (Mitzi) of Apple Springs, Tammy Wunderlich (Harold) of Grandbury and Darrell Smith (Pam) of Florida; and his stepchildren, Matthew Crowe (Tracy) of Kennard, Sam Crowe (Janna) of Kennard and Ruth Ann Phillips (J. P.) of Jefferson. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews.
