He was predeceased by: his parents, Delma Mae Hines Jones and Dale Jones; and his siblings, Dale Jones, Ray Jones, Darwin Jones and Betty Merriwether.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Taylor Jones of Kennard; his children, Douglass Taylor "Butch" Jones, Jeanne Belinda Jones Currie (Rex) of Warren and Kimberley Anne Jones of Kennard; his friend Robert Chumley of Kennard; his grandchildren, Douglass Jeremy Jones (Nichole) of Lexington, Jennifer Lynn Tolar (Bobby) of Woodville, Joshua Jones (Courtney) of San Antonio, Keith Currie (Catherine) of Beaumont and Sage Taylor Jones of Austin; his great grandchildren, Hannah Jones, Cason Reid, Hunt Reid, Madison, Jackson, Huxley Tolar, Alexander Jones, Caroline Jurries and Karoline Currie; his brother Don Jones of Lufkin; and his niece Debbie Jones Britton of New Caney. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of many friends and other family members.
